Arriba Nacional from Ecuador


Arriba Nacional is one of the world‘s finest cacao varieties. These cacao beans are being grown by smallholder farmers on the coastal plains of the Ecuadorian province of Esmeraldas. All farmers involved in the collection of the cacao beans receive fair wages compared to local standards. The cacao trees grow among other fruit trees, such as orange, mango and avocado trees and thus in a permaculture environment.

Arriba Nacional gehört zu den feinsten Kakaosorten der Erde und wird als Edelkakao angesehen. Arriba Nacional ist bekannt für seinen außergewöhnlich vollmundigen Geschmack und hält in seiner cremigen Textur fruchtige und florale Aromen bereit. 

 

Die Bohnen in dieser Kakaomasse kommen aus dem küstennahen Flachland der Provinz Esmeralda in Ecuador. Die Kakaomasse wird aus heimischen Arriba Nacional Bohnen hergestellt, kalt in Rohkostqualität verarbeitet und ist bio zertifiziert. Im Vergleich zu anderen Sorten, ist dieser Kakao besonders mild und schokoladig im Geschmack. Der Kakao wächst in Permakultur umgeben von tropischen Fruchtbäumen wie Orangen, Avocados und Mangos. Dieser heimische Edelkakao wird von Kleinbauern kultiviert, die die Art des Kakaoanbaus beherrschen, die Umwelt zutiefst achten und unter internationalen Fair-Trade-Standards kooperieren.
