The Cacao Collective

The Spirit of Cacao is a teacher, a keeper of ancient, sacred wisdom. Coming from the stars, and in service to life on Earth, the consciousness behind the form is radiant and loving, a balm for the soul that awakens our innate connection to the Divine. Cacao Spirit carries a feminine and a masculine essence; both a nurturing and sustaining as a directive force that rekindles the fire of the heart and bridges the realms of Earth and Cosmos. For generations, the spiritual essence was safeguarded by the Mayan elders until the time came for it to be shared with the world; to restore peace, and inner-standing. The Cacao Mother speaks through ceremony, guiding us to reconnect with ourselves, with one another, and with the living world in sacred celebration.

In Circle & In Ceremony

We will share a cup of chocolate together, uniting our hearts and our breath in one rhythm, as we invite the Cacao Mother, the Nature Spirits, and the Elements to join our circle. Our intention is to root deeply into the heart of the Earth & Sky while building a bridge to the heart of the forest, to receive the original medicine of Cacao. In Ceremony, we will bring flowers to the roots, songs to the heart, incense to the wheel of life, and blessings to the divine origin. By practicing sacred reciprocity, we want to nurture the invisible harmony that restores rhythm, deep trust, and coherence within and around us. Commit to being in sacred service to Pachamama, while receiving Cacao's ancestral wisdom, light codes, and heart coherence.

My work with cacao is shamanic in nature, grounded in the energies of the Earth and the intelligence of the cosmos. As we attune to this sacred connection, an in-between space opens, transmitting light codes and guidance, offering a communion – one that allows us to touch the invisible harmony that flows between worlds. – Serap Kara

The consciousness of cacao is rising, offering us profound new layers of embodied heart wisdom. I invite you to join this sacred unfolding, where we weave the essence of Cacao with the rhythms of the moon and the dawning light of a new time. –Serap Kara

About Me

My name is Serap, and it is my honour to be your host on this journey. My roots stretch back to Anatolia, to a small village at the eastern tip of Turkey, with Mount Ararat watching over my lineage. I carry a nomadic soul, learning to anchor myself in the consciousness of nature to navigate this Earth as my home.

I walk the path of a medicine woman to midwife a heart-centred consciousness into this now-time. As Moondancer, I follow the feminine red path of collective healing, and carry the medicine of Maza Meztli — the moon deer. My work is shamanic and earth-based in nature, yet informed by the cosmos.

Looking at the past 15 years with Cacao, I gained experience and a new perspective; at the same time I have come to innerstand that I'm on a life-long journey with the medicines of the Earth - there'll be deeper layers to be felt, foreign horizons to be explored, messages to be delivered, reciprocity to be practiced.

I am deeply devoted to creating finely attuned spaces that invite us to root into trust, and to remember our innate connection with Spirit. Within these sacred containers, we naturally return to the art of ceremony and step into service for the greater harmony of life. I look forward to being in ceremony with you!

Huaca Montegrande · The Living Cacao Temple

For each participating person, I would like to donate one third to the Huaca Montegrande Project in Peru.

The Huaca Montegrande was crafted in the shape of a women giving birth, with the womb represented as a spiral. The spiral also is a representation of the Amaru (serpent) and the realm of the Ukhu Pacha (underworld) that is our connection to ancestors. The direction of the spiral is also important as it’s shape is constructed anti-clockwise which is believed to be a representation of a backwards movement through time, depicting the concept not of birth but of re-birth. The team led by Dr. Quirino Olivera is about to uncover the centre of the spiral and one of the oldest known sources for ceremonial Cacao use. As of October 2025, €25,000 are needed to keep the excavation and documentation alive, and support the small team of six working on the site.  Learn more

Preparation

The zoom link will be sent to you upon registration through earthschool.love. Please check your 'others' folder. If you haven't received the link on the day of the ceremony until 4.00 pm, please get in touch.

If you wonder how to set up a beautiful space with intention or how to prepare your Cacao, read cacao in ceremony and prepare a cacao for ritual.

Plant vibration is subtle. You can tune in very nicely by eating a vegetarian or vegan diet for a few days and avoiding alcohol, dairy products and heavy foods. The day of the Ceremony it is nice to refrain from coffee, and not to eat two hours before the ceremony.

You will need:

  • A cup of Cacao prepared with intention (and kept warm eg in a flask)
  • A comfortable and quiet space
  • A scarf or blanket for the meditation
  • A candle & something to smudge
  • Water to drink
  • Notebook and pen

Energy & Exchange

Honouring the Celtic Wheel, we are in the portal of Solar Samhain (Nov 7) when the Sun is on 15 degrees Aquarius, opening the Celtic New Year, and with it the veils to the Otherworld so we can travel between the worlds, oracle, ask for a dream or what we need to know for the coming months.

According to the Mayan cosmovision, the energy of the day is 4 Kame, inviting us to transform on the physical plane. Kame, represented by the Owl, deepens our wisdom and understanding of life and rebirth.

The exchange for the 2-hour circle & ceremony is EUR 33.

For each participating person, I would like to give one third to the Huaca Montegrande Project in Peru, one of the oldest, if not the oldest, cacao temples on Earth.

We will record the circle and make it available afterwards for 48 hours
