The Spirit of Cacao is a teacher, a keeper of ancient, sacred wisdom. The Spirit of the plant (the energy behind the form) is radiant energy, like a loving embrace, an essence for the soul. The Cacao Spirit is respected as a feminine force, a rainbow medicine that allows you to feel connected between Earth and Cosmos. In the past years the Cacao Spirit has become a global being assisting in the awakening. Mama Cacao speaks to our heart and root so we can connect lovingly with ourselves, others and the world around us.

In the Moon Circle we will open the space to look back, give thanks and open to receive the wisdom of the Earth for the new cycle ahead. With Samhain the harvest is complete. What we haven't harvested is for the ancestors, the dead and the deceased. Within the Cacao Collective we can connect with a deeply wise and ancestral energy that holds magic. Join us in circle and sacred mandala to give thanks to the Elders and the Old ones within our own sacred being and bless the turning of the wheel.

Medicine from Europe

We at Cacao Mama have been guided by the Cacao Collective to work with the native European medicine wheel and align our messages and teachings with the wisdom of the European ancestors and the wisdom of the land. Thus we have created a bridge that allows us to feel the roots and wisdom of Central Europe and its ancestral consciousness while serving a plant from Central America. We use this bridge to heal the wounds from the past and remember our innate connection with the living world.

The Celtic Wheel

It is said that the European medicine wheel that we know of today is a fusion of Germanic and Celtic cultures. One culture chose the sun with four cardinal points as their main guiding principle, the other culture chose the moon indicating the four cross-quarter dates. Today these two are commonly known as the Celtic Wheel and you will find eight major seasonal celebrations throughout the year. This wheel is remembered as a beautiful tool that gives orientation in times of great and rapid change.

Hello, my name is Serap and I welcome you! I'm a medicine woman, moon dancer, earth guardian, teacher and the founder of Cacao Mama and the Earth School.

When I met the Cacao Spirit in 2011 they shared with me: 'We want to be golden again'. This has been Cacao Mama's mission since the founding in Spring 2014 and I've helped to open the consciousness for the Spirit across the borders of Europe. I've shared the space with people from all over the world and all walks of life in hundreds of ceremonies, medicine circles and learning experiences. I love to create finely tuned spaces to root into trust and receive permission, so that we may remember our natural state of Spirit connection and the way of ceremony to be in service to a greater harmony.

My medicine heart beats in rhythm with Mother Earth. I love to weave finely tuned healing experiences to reconnect you with the invisible harmony that surrounds us. My work with cacao is shamanic in nature and focuses on the energy of the earth. At the same time a cosmic space opens up, which provides light codes. In this connection a gentle and powerful opportunity opens up, whereby we can touch the magic.

Samhain (pronounced 'sow'inn') is one of the major festivals of the Wheel of the Year, for many pagan cultures the most important festival of all. The name Samhain can be translated with union or gathering. It is the sacred festival of death, dying, and letting go.

Samhain marks the beginning of the night of the year. It is the shamanic New Year's Eve. The Wheel of the Year turns once more, a new cycle begins, the old one ends. Samhain heralds the darkest time of the year until the light is reborn on Winter Solstice. It is a time of contemplation and pause.

The energy of the sun diminishes, its light fades, and it gets cold and quiet outside. The harvest has been gathered and nature lies down.

Like the creatures of the more-than-human world, we are beginning the descent into the dark cave of the earth, where rest and decay can be transformed into vital organic nurturing. This is the time of the descent into potent darkness, of pre-conception, out of which new life, new ideas, will eventually emerge.

We may follow the invitation to once more reconnect with the natural world and the natural rhythms of the year and their seasonality as we journey into the fertile underground. Cacao Spirit teaches us how to connect to the cycles of Mother Nature and life itself. It guides us into the dark, nurturing womb of Mother Earth and deep down into our centre. In union with the Cacao Deva we are reminded of the everlasting cycles of life, death, and rebirth, and to find comfort and trust in these inherent rhythms.
